The Love>Fear series explores the impact that we have on the world around us. Each ring in the L>F series features its own ice crystal pattern, inspired by Masaru Emoto’s experimental observations of ice crystals in reaction to the emotions love and fear. In Emoto’s experiments, he tested the impact our thoughts and feelings can have on water, by projecting varying emotions on the samples, and then studying the resulting ice crystal patterns after they were frozen. In Emoto’s experiments the water samples that received LOVE resulted in the formation of complex and beautiful ice crystals, while the samples that received FEAR resulted in disorderly unimpressive crystals.
